Message from the Lake County Bar Association President

Posted on 07/14/17 at 01:17:01 PM by James  Argento

Dear Bar Members:

I wanted to send a personal message to all our members to encourage you to become more active in our organization. Over the last several years I have had the opportunity to see firsthand how we conduct the affairs of our association. Our bar association’s primary goal is to serve its members but we also need to connect with our community and provide information on the services we can provide. In order to achieve these goals we need your help and support. Our newest board member, Mr. Zack McCormick, has agreed to reach out to you and get your thoughts, concerns, ideas and suggestions on how to make our association better. I encourage you to be frank and candid with your input.

The Board has discussed contacting our local high schools in Lake County and developing a mock trial competition for their debate programs. Our plan is to assign at least two members of our association to each school who is willing to participate. The competitions would occur over the school year and the overall winner would be announced at our annual Law Day 2018. If you are interested in working with any of our schools, I encourage you to volunteer your time and talent to our local students.

We also plan to continue our support for local charitable organizations and welcome your ideas on how we can best serve the needs of our community. Please join us in making our association more responsive to our members as well as our community as a whole.

Sincerely,

Dan Mosley

President, Lake County Bar Association
